My background

I was born in Italy, where I lived and studied until 1994, when I moved to London. While training as a journalist and freelancing in the publishing and media industry, I also temped as bilingual receptionist and secretary. As I got more work in the media, I stopped temping and used my language skills in multi-language projects (books and magazines). In 2008 I relocated to Rugby, where I started to teach Italian to private individuals. Tutoring wasn't new to me as I tutored in French and English when I was in Italy. While in Rugby I taught a course for beginners at an Adult Education college.

I'm now based in Cambridge. I teach Italian at different levels and lessons are bespoke. Italian tuition: GBP20 per hour for private individuals and GBP40 per hour for companies, exclusive of travelling costs and time, if applicable.

Translation fees are from GBP70 to GBP120 per 1000 words (technical and complex subjects will be charged at higher rate). I prefer to translate from Italian into English but short translations from English into Italian will be considered. Interpreting: business and community interpreting fees are GBP80 per half day and GBP150 for a full day.
